Cooling Tower Maintenance Precautions

1. After the cooling tower is installed, the debris and dirt on the pipes, water collectors, filler surfaces and water collection tanks should be carefully removed to avoid blockage.

2. Before using the cooling tower, a trial run should be carried out. Check whether the fan and tower body are installed stably, whether the water distributor operates normally, whether the sprinkler head and water distribution pipe are evenly discharging water, and whether the motor moisture-proof measures are strict.

3. When using the cooling tower, it should be observed frequently to check the operation of the fan, including current, voltage, fan vibration, noise, gear oil level, whether there is oil leakage or whether the belt drive is loose, whether it slips, whether the water distribution is normal, etc.

4. The gear box uses 20# mechanical oil or gear oil. In addition to constantly filling it to the specified oil level, it should be replaced once every year of continuous operation.

5. The belt drive bearing seat should be filled with lubricating grease. Usually, it should be filled with an oil gun once a month. After one year of continuous operation, all should be disassembled, cleaned and replaced. Always pay attention to the tightness of the bolts of each connecting component.

6. The turbidity of the cooling tower inlet water shall not exceed 10 mg/L. During operation, regular sewage discharge or additional water quality stabilization treatment should be considered based on the water quality conditions.
