Compared with open cooling towers, closed cooling towers have obvious advantages, so the current cooling system basically adopts closed cooling towers.
1. Closed circulation
The circulating medium is completely closed and completely isolated from the outside world. It can not only cool water, but also cool all other flowable media, such as oil cooling, alcohols, refrigerants and salts. For example, hydraulic oil cannot penetrate water. It used to pass through the intermediate link of shell and tube heat exchanger or plate heat exchanger. Now it can be directly sent to the tube bundle of closed cooling tower.
2. Reduce land occupation
Due to the closed circulation in the complete pipeline or equipment, there is no need to dig a pool to store fluid. In the overall layout of the initial factory construction, land resources can be more fully utilized to arrange production equipment, processes and buildings. If the closed cooling tower is arranged on the roof of the building, land use will be further reduced, saving huge land costs.
3. Reduce operating costs
During operation, the two modes of air cooling and air cooling + spraying are automatically switched without manual intervention, saving labor, electricity and water consumption. In addition, unlike the open tower operation, a large amount of reagents are added to ensure the problems caused by scaling and algae, saving reagent costs.
4. Improve production efficiency and reduce failures
Since the temperature and composition of the circulating water are guaranteed, the process production equipment is guaranteed to be cooled and cooled, reducing failures and maintenance, and the working time is fully guaranteed, which indirectly improves production efficiency.
5. Extend the life of production equipment
The stability of the composition and quality of the circulating water can discharge the heat energy of the production equipment in time, and the internal cooling system is not blocked or corroded, which extends the service life of the equipment.
6. No change in composition
Since it is isolated from the outside world, the medium composition is stable, and only cooling is required. If it does not change due to cooling, the composition will not change.
7. No evaporation
No contact with the atmosphere, only temperature changes, no water vapor is produced, and the entire pipeline or equipment is fully filled and cannot evaporate. The total fluid capacity will not decrease, and no new liquid needs to be added.
8. No scaling
The calcium and magnesium ions dissolved in it, because there is no evaporation and no new liquid is added, the total number of ions remains unchanged, the total volume of the solution remains unchanged, and according to the concentration definition, the number and volume ratio will never change. Even if there are a certain number of calcium and magnesium ions, they will not scale because they do not exceed their saturation. For the sake of insurance, the general circulating medium still uses pure water circulation to ensure that the entire system does not scale.
9. No impurities
Whether it is production equipment, system pipelines or closed cooling towers, they are all isolated from the outside world, and all external impurities cannot enter. Pay attention to two points in this regard. First, do not use water pools for storage to prevent impurities from entering and evaporating. Second, add chemical agents such as corrosion inhibitors to prevent the metal corrosion of the inner wall of the equipment or pipeline passing through, produce impurities, and block pipelines or accessories.
