Open Circuit Evaporative Cooling Tower

KHLT series open circuit evaporative cooling tower is a type of cooling system that uses the natural process of evaporation to remove heat from a building or industrial process. The working principle behind an open circuit cooling tower is simple. Water is circulated through a heat exchanger, where it absorbs heat from the building or process it is cooling. The heated water is then pumped to the top of a tower, where it is sprayed onto a series of trays or a mesh surface. As the water flows down through the trays or mesh, it is exposed to a stream of air that is drawn through the tower by fans. The air cools the water by evaporation, as some of the water molecules escape into the air in the form of steam. The cooled water is then collected in a basin at the bottom of the tower and recirculated back through the heat exchanger to absorb more heat.
